House Season 1 Episode 1 Pilot
Rebecca Adler (Robin Tunney), a 29-year old preschool teacher, collapses in her classroom from a seizure. Wilson tries to get House to take the case, but House refuses until Wilson claims that Adler is his cousin. House is forced to agree to work longer in the hospital clinic in order to finish a routine MRI scan. While working in the clinic, he diagnoses Adler with cerebral vasculitis and treats her for it, despite having no proof. Foreman and Cameron break into the patient’s house and discover a package of ham. House concludes that Adler had been infected with tapeworms after eating undercooked pork. Adler is initially unwilling to undergo treatment until more evidence is provided, which Chase eventually finds. Adler recovers, and House talks about why he walks with a limp.
